The 2008 Combined Open House had proven something — when Bikes Built Better and Injection Connection got together, people showed up. So on April 18th, 2009, they did it again, this time with a name and a mission. The first Spring Motor Mania was on. April made sense — cabin fever was at its peak and everyone was itching to get their rides out and show them off. The event featured a car and motorcycle show with trophies awarded, free food, and the kind of easy-going atmosphere you only get when the people running the show are enthusiasts themselves. The weather wasn’t perfect, the crowd was modest, but by the end of the day the verdict was unanimous — this was happening every year. Ten more times, as it turned out.
That’s How Spring Motor Mania Got It’s Start
Our first Spring Motor Mania actually promoted as Combined Open House was a cooperative effort of the Injection Connection and Bikes Built Better. Our first combined event was held on April 18th we picked April as this is the time of year we all have cabin fever and need to get out and show off and fix up our junk. The event featured a car and motorcycle show with trophies awarded free food and just a lot of fun. The event was sort of small as weather was not the best but successful enough that it was decided we should do this every year.
